This discipline is consequently amongst the most sought after lines of training at UTT. Graduates are involved in various operations in which the physical/chemical/ mechanical/biological properties are transformed. Such examples abound in the manufacturing and energy sectors in Trinidad and Tobago and other Caribbean countries. In addition to these large scale industries, graduates are involved in a wide range of medium and smallscale process operations such as soaps and detergents, paints, pharmaceuticals, oils and fats, household and industrial chemicals etc.
